Can you match the line length?

Can you match the line length?

In one experiment group, subjects (confederates) and actual subject (participant) were recruited.
Each participant was placed with seven confederates. The actual subject was unaware of confederates.
The group was shown a card with one line (X) of some length. This card was followed with another card consisting of three lines (A,B,C) .
Each subject was to say their answer loudly which length (A, B or C) matched with first card length (X).
Confederates were advised to respond first and were told to answer wrongly. Once the confederates had answered, the actual subject was asked to match the lines and tell his answer.
Will the actual subject be able to answer correctly?
