A game of chess

A game of chess

You are invited for a game of chess. The problem is that your opponent is a world champion.
You and the chess master will be shown a quick glimpse of a chessboard. Both of you need to replicate the board exactly what is shown. The positive side is that you can decide and ask the organizers to show a real mid game position or chess pieces strewn randomly.
Which option will increase your chances of winning?
