Tell me when you went beyond the call of duty

Interviewer is interested to know an example or a time that you felt you went beyond the call of duty. 
Narrate a recent incident when the challenge on hand required you to forget any and everything to make it happen. It meant you to burn mid night oil and toil more than what was normal e.g. you had to cancel your leave.
