Save a Life

You have decided to donate $100 this week. Following options exist for donation and you need to choose one of following.
A) 7 year old child needs a medical operation, which will prolong his/her life till next year
B) City hospital whose facilities are deteriorating
Which option will you choose for your donation?

Even though it may seem that option B would have more long-term benefits, I would still go with A as it is a matter of prolonging a child's life. The hospital's facilities can be improved gradually, but not the child's life.

I would choose option A As far as I can see it's more transparent in A where the money is being donated Time will be invaluable for the child The donation is more impactful here
